Spicy Chicken
Spicy chicken with mushrooms and peppers and many spices, which give it aroma and flavor.
The dried red hot pepper will add the needed "heat" to make the chicken spicy and unique.

Ingredients (6 servings)

  • ∼750g/ 1.7lbs chicken breast
  • 6 colored peppers
  • ½kg/ 1.1lbs fresh mushrooms
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 400g/ 14.1oz (1 can) chopped tomatoes or fresh tomatoes
  • 100ml/ 3.4floz red whine
  • 50ml/ 1.7floz olive oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • homemade spice mixture
Prepare the ingredients.
Clean with a wet cloth the mushrooms, remove part of the tip of the stem, and cut into slices, not too thin.
Wash and remove seeds from the peppers and cut into thick strips.
Wash, wipe with paper towels, and cut the chicken into bite size pieces.
In a small dish prepare the homemade spice mixturethat consists of:
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp curry
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp dried red hot peppers flakes
Put the olive oil in the pot, heat it and add the chopped chicken.
Stir frequently until golden brown.
Keep the saucepan over medium heat, and add the peppers, coarsely chopped…
…and the mushrooms.
Stir to mix and boil for 3'-4'.
Add the tomatoes, and garlic cut into slices, and the mixture of spices. Stir.
Don't add water.
Cover the pan and let it boil for 20 minutes.
Near the end, add the wine and honey, leave it to boil for a few minutes for the alcohol to evaporate.
Don't stir, shake the pan from the handles.
Test the taste on a saucer, and withdraw the saucepan from the heat.
The sauce of the food should be thick and plenty so the food is not dry.
Spicy Chicken Serve accompanied, with white aromatic rice, which blends perfectly with the aromas of chicken.
You can, however, combine it with whatever else you prefer.
