Savory cake with feta cheese and peas. Tasty and healthy vegetable, wich is, apart from frech in the spring, in frozen form in the refrigerators of M/M.

Feta Cheese Cake with Peas

Ingredients (8 slices)

  • 150 gr (5.3 oz) frozen peas
  • 100 ml (3.4 floz) milk
  • 100 ml (3.4 floz) vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 gr (5.3 oz) flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 150 gr (5.3 floz) feta cheese
  • 60 gr (2.1 oz) gruyere, grated
  • some pepper
  • 1 tsp dried, chrushed mint
Put the frozen peas in a little boiling water and boil for 1 min.
Drain and leave aside to cool.
In a large bowl, add the milk and oil eggs.
Beat with whisk to mix.
Continue pouring the flour with the baking powder, sifted.
Feta cubed and half the grated gruyere. The other half will take to end the top of the cake.
Finally add to the mix the crushed mint, pepper and peas. Mix well with a spoon.
Grease and flour an oblong shape of the cake.
Pour in the mixture.
With a sharp knife scratch the surface of the dough in the center and along the form.
Sprinkle in the center and along the cake with grated cheese, which we keep aside.
Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (156°F/ Gas 4.2) for 45'-50'.
Remove the form from the oven and leave to cool on a rack.
Deform and cut into slices.
