Baked Potatoes Bacon

Ruby baked potatoes, stuffed with smoked bacon and sprinkled with cheese, that melts to tasty and flavor them. They are hearty, beautify our table and become favorites of children and adults.
Accompany them with a green salad with a simple vinaigrette and you have a complete meal.

Ingredients (5 servings)

  • 5 large potatoes
  • 150 gr (5.3 oz) bacon
  • 50 gr (1.8 oz) grated gruyere
  • 50 gr (1.8 oz) grated gouda
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt, pepper, paprika
Peel, wash and wipe the potatoes and cut them into slices 3-4 mm, making sure to not separate. A practical way is to put two chopsticks or two knives underneath, so the knife will not penetrate through.
Slice the bacon into smaller pieces and place a small piece in each slot.
Sprinkle with olive oil, salt well and sprinkle with pepper and paprika.
Wrap each potato in foil and bake in the oven at 200°C (356°F, Gas 4.2) for 35'-40'.
Carefully remove the potatoes from the oven, test with a fork, if they soften and cook…
…remove the foil and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Put them back for a while, 5'-6', in the grill of the oven, until the get browned and the cheese melts.
