Announcement New Book Release

With great pleasure we inform you that issued the New Book of Kitchen Stories titled «Μεζέδες». It includes a collection of 45 savory recipes for easy and practical everyday food solutions but also quick finger foods for festive table or buffet.

Excerpt from the introduction:
«Αναρωτιέμαι συχνά που είναι το απόγειο της μαγειρικής. Είναι τα πιο φρέσκα υλικά, οι πιο πολύπλοκες γεύσεις είναι το καθημερινό ή το σπάνιο; Δεν είναι τίποτε απ΄όλα αυτά. Το απόγειο δεν είναι ούτε η κατανάλωση του φαγητού ούτε το μαγείρεμα, αλλά η προσφορά του φαγητού και η συντροφικότητα…»

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 250g (8.8oz) bow-tie pasta (farfalle)
  • 100g (3.5oz) grated gouda
  • 50g (1.8oz) grated mozzarella
  • 100g (3.5oz) sliced ham
  • 2 salamis Cabanossi (optional)
  • 200g (7.1oz) sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Cook the Farfalle in half the time than it writes the package. Strain them and turn them back into the pot sprinkling them with 2 tablespoons of oil. Keep aside some water from what boiled pasta.
Cut the ham in small chunks and in small pieces the salami.
In a large bowl, pour the cream, pasta and eggs. Stir. We want it to be a fairly watery mixture.
Add the grated cheese, ham and salami. Mix very well.
Empty the mixture of cheese and cream in the saucepan over the farfalles. Mix very well.
Grease a form★ for cakes and in the middle pour the mixture of cheese-pasta. Cover the form with an aluminum foil.
Bake in a preheated air oven, at 200℃ (392℉, Gas Mark:5.7) for 35′-40′.

The ideal form★ to have a perfect visual result and to get the food perfect without sticking onto the form is to use that of silicone.

Instead of farfalles we can use any other thick pasta we prefer. Also bacon, tuna, salmon, mushrooms, zucchini, peas, broccoli, etc. are alternatives to this proposal. Your choise.
