Easter Brioche Buns
Easter Brioche or Tsoureki Oriental in Greece is a traditional sweet bread, which is prepared throughout the year and especially during the Easter holidays. It needs yeast and good kneading to inflate and create beautiful fibers inside that will keep it fresh and fluffy for days. Also aromatic spices and citrus zest, such as lemon and orange, flavor it wonderfully. It is often decorated with red eggs and has different shapes and sizes.
This year we made small brioche buns to accompany our coffee for days.

Little Aubergine Pies with Homemade Kourou Dough
A Kourou Dough -Yogurt Dough- so pliable & velvety, which you will love for the comfort of its management. The pies are filled with whatever stuffing we like. Wonderful Aubergine Pies were made here, very tasty & fluffy and where the tender, grated, biscuit dough competes equally with the wonderfully delicious stuffing with eggplant and Greek cheeses, such as Gruyère & kasseri or emmental. The blue poppy seed gives them an extra click of flavor.
A suggestion for a snack for the morning coffee but also for a beer or… why not, with an easy drink and fruity wine, iced & dry Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie -the most popular variety of Italy- on our summer terrace with dear friends.

If we close our eyes and think of Greek Easter, Orthodox Easter, the image to be formed in our mind is a delicious well done, braided super-soft, fluffy and moist brioche with a red egg. This is the view of our Greek Easter!
Sometimes easy with simple procedures and sometimes complicated and demanding the Tsoureki remains the favorite flavored sweet bread large and small. It has primacy in our Easter & Easter table with red eggs and bagels. Customs that blend and reconcile families and friends.

Almond Tart
Almond Tart with orange aromas. With grated base dough -Pâte Sablée- kneaded with poppy seeds. The aromatic stuffing of the tart has two layers. A first, thin, with apricot jam and a second with almond cream, made with blanched ground almonds, butter, orange zest, cherry brandy, eggs and sprinkled in the surface with almond slivers.
Refined, delicate, light, almost ethereal flavors, that only almonds can give us.

Rolls of puff pastry, stuffed with ham and cheese slices.
Simple solutions, with ready puff pastry, that solves our hands and with sure success. These rolls are made very quickly, tasty, and stylishly practical to eat, a super finger food. Not omit to pour with a lovely mustard sauce, butter, poppy seeds and Worcestershire Sauce!

French croissants small, fluffy, cheesy and very easily. With simple procedures and sure success we make a tender, velvety dough with spreadable cheese, sprinkled with parmesan. We roll and here they are. The poppy seeds graces and flavors even more.
Eaten plain or stuffed with sweet and savory flavors. They are wonderful supplement of a loose breakfast. Offered for beautiful treats, canapés, finger food for office, for breakfast, for a picknick. Small sandwiches stuffed with a thin slice of cheese and our favorite prosciutto, minced ham, salami or whatever sausage we like and a few rocket leaves. Et voilà!

White Chocolate Pralines
The pralines are a luxury product of Belgian confectionery and which comprise a chocolate shell filled with a soft substance or liquid without excluding the various nuts, hazelnuts, almonds, etc.
The usual Sunday dessert choice of Kitchen Stories is twofold. One proposal relates to white chocolate pralines filled with a divine taste of marzipan combined with poppy seeds, popping in every bite, and the second more classic. Pralines of dark chocolate filled with almonds and sprinkled with 2-3 grains of coarse sea salt.

Salty bun, stuffed bread or oversized inflated bun; Whatever you call it remains a delicious, tasty treat.
Enhanced bread dough as brioche, made without particular difficulty requirements. A little time to wait for inflation, like all yeast doughs, and thats it.
Inflates perfect, kneaded and molded easily. The cheeses melt beautifully and with ham combined and diffuse into the crumb, giving it full of dense texture and flavor. Poppy seeds give crunchy texture and make more interesting taste and sight.

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins with Stevia
Muffins, delicious with the scent of lemon and the characteristic flavor of poppy seeds. Lightweight and very popular desserts, eaten very easily.
In every bite, the poppy seed is broken between the teeth and you feel the crunchy texture without being a hard seed or sticking between the teeth as the strawberry. The yogurt gives them spongy and elastic texture.
Stevia was used as a sweetener, instead of sugar, with excellent results.
