Fresh Fig & Feta Cheese Pizza
Sweet but simultaneously savory pizza with our favorite fresh figs in an excellent combination with feta cheese and honey.
We tried it for first time in the place of origin of the pizza and the taste has won us from the first bite. Influenced then by this remembrance we used our greek tastes and we propose it to you. Despite intense feta cheese, the presence of taste of figs is paramount.
Sweet pizza with salty tones. In "Kitchen Stories" our summers relish and with this pizza since the figs, black and white, are many and delicious.

Fresh Fig & Feta Cheese Pizza

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • half dose pizza dough
  • 80 g (2.8 oz) feta cheese
  • 10 fresh figs
  • 2 tbsp honey, optionally
Roll out the dough by stretching it cyclically with your hands and moving it in the air from hand to hand. The dough is very soft and easy to open.
Lay it, pressing it with your palm, onto lightly greased aluminum foil, placed in a pan Ø26cm (Ø10.2in).
With a fork crumble the feta cheese and scatter over the dough.
Cut the two ends of the figs and then in the middle. Place each half fig above the crumbled feta…
…until it fills the whole surface of the pizza. Sprinkle with honey.
Bake at 180°C (356°F, Gas:4.2) for ~20 minutes or until the dough pizza is cooked and the figs browned.
