Turmeric Garlic Dip
It's tradition in Greece at March 25 and October 28 to consume as a nation a delicious meal of Greek cuisine. This is the salted cod and of course the necessary accompaniment, the garlic sauce.
Today reversing the usual order of rotation of posts to the blog, which require a dessert I propose Garlic with Turmeric. The turmeric gives the garlic a nice and bright yellow color. Taste is great, a healthy choice and velvety texture. If your taste habits contains the garlic sauce then make it with the way I propose.

Turmeric Garlic Dip

Ingredients (2 bowls)

  • ½ kg (1.1 lbs) potatoes
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1½ tsp turmeric
  • 4 garlic clove
  • 1 shot olive oil
  • 1 shot of vinegar
  • salt, pepper & smoky paprika
  • olives for decoration
Peel, wash and boil the potatoes and carrots along with turmeric and some salt. Strain and let it chill.
In the bowl of a blender put the garlic, cut in half and without central sprouts, pepper, a bit of vinegar and a little of the oil.
Add the potatoes and carrots.
You grind to mash it well adding gradually the remaining oil and vinegar. Season with salt, taste and correct the taste.

…sprinkle a tablespoon of oil to the surface and decorate with olives. Sprinkle with paprika. Accompanies fried salted cod and other fish.
