White Chocolate Pralines

Pralines are a luxury product of Belgian Chocolate Making and consist of a chocolate shell filled with a soft ingredient or liquid, without excluding various nuts, hazelnuts, almonds, etc.
The usual Sunday dessert choice of Kitchen Stories is twofold. One proposal relates to white chocolate pralines filled with a divine taste of marzipan combined with poppy seeds, popping in every bite, and the second more classic. Pralines of dark chocolate filled with almonds and sprinkled with 2-3 grains of coarse sea salt.

Turmeric - Curcuma

Turmeric is one of the strongest therapeutics of nature. The active ingredient is curcumin and is used for over 2500 years in India where probably first used as a dye.
Often used to paint with the bright yellow color, foods such as drinks, ice, yoghurts, cakes, orange juice, biscuits etc. It is also a key component of curry.
The medicinal properties of this spice revealed gradually through the ages. It was long known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Recent research has shown that turmeric is a natural miracle that proves beneficial for the prevention of many different diseases from cancer to Alzheimer's disease.
In Medieval Europe it became known as the "Indian saffron", as it was widely used as an alternative to the very expensive spice, saffron.

Homemade Fish Sticks & Tartar Sauce

Fish sticks crunchy and delicious, dipped in a wonderful and tasty tartar sauce. The process may be a little time-consuming, but its taste is very special. Their great convenience is that baked in the oven and are extremely delicious without the process of frying.

Meringues with Strawberry Whipped Cream

Rosettes of meringue crispy outside and fluffy and soft inside, covered with a delicious strawberry cream. Easy for one individual sweet, perfect for a quick fix without missing flavor and color.
The meringues are made from egg white, in different sizes and colors, and baked in the oven. They offered me here, ready, painted with these lovely pastel shades, so I chose to propose to you only with a light, sour cream strawberry and a little apricot jam.

Stuffed Vines Leaves with Pine Nuts & Currants

Today's stuffed vine leaves -dolmades gialantzi- (only rice without meat) have different ingredients than others, we have proposed here occasionally. They form different wrapping, they are like little ladies fingers, thin, oblong, delicate, with long grain rice. Pine nuts, raisins and cinnamon gives its Constantinople origins and give them tons of sweet aftertaste.

Raspberries & Cream Cheese Crackers

The raspberries are forest fruits, tasty and slightly sour. They are cultivated now in Greece and found in quite affordable price. They are sensitive and very delicate in their treatment.
I propose a simple and easy recipe to try out and enjoy raspberries with all their flavor. Crackers cookies, spread with a light lemon mascarpone cream cheese without much sugar, just 2 teaspoons stevia or powdered sugar and fresh raspberries around the cream.

Crostini with Whipped Feta and Tomatoes

Toasted slices of fresh bread-Crostini, sprinkled with olive oil, spread with a lemony whipped feta cheese, and a… salad on top, are a very tasty morsel in summer mood to combine with a cold beer. If the beer is flavored with honey and coriander, then the aromas and flavors increase and enjoyment doubles.
It is a good suggestion for a light and quick dinner, you just have to try them.

Fig Pistachio & Date Truffles

Raw Food Diet sweet truffles, sugar free, fat free ingredients, full of protein, vitamins and trace elements, made from dried fruits & nuts, and fasting. Coated with a chocolate hat from cocoa and honey. It is very special truffles, easy to make and the view but also the taste do not leave many untouched.
Do not rush eat them, okay I let one to try, keep them for the next day or make the day before (!?), so as to mix the flavors and aromas of the ingredients together.

Mixed Greens Pies-Hortopites

The continuation and the end of the lengthy post "Phyllo Dough & Pies" is completed here. The little pies arrive at their final destination, when the fresh fried, thin pie -which smells Greece- reach to our palate!
After we learned to we make the dough, roll the sheet and we have become experts in "dough pastry sheets" today we will learn to choose, to cook, make pies and eat the noblest, aromatic, delicious, sweet and fragrant greens & herbs of all time, the whole world.
Are these the Greek Spring! Especially after a year with so much rain the greens and green covered up rocks…
★ Mediterranean hartwort, chevrils, poppies, spurges, sorrel, leeks, onions, dill, fennel, peppermint, nettles, sonchus oleraceus, commonly all those spices, wild, sweet, edible greens, we find this time in Greek land which when cooked become the ultimate nutritional and taste dimension.
Most of us do not recognize more than 3-4 species. The variety is great and it is not easy for someone who does not live close to nature to know their name, but also to distinguish edible from inedible. Many are found in outdoor public market and grocery stores. Wherever you find them, take them and go make pies.

Spring Birthday Cake

Colorful, flowery, and joyful birthday cake as the spring.
Delicious ingredients, and light flavors with an impressive result!
It consists of three different preparations. The chocolate base is cut into three flat disks. The filling with fluffy mascarpone mousse and the coating with colored whipped cream and Caprice Wafer Rolls complete the entire proposal.
Decorate with what you like and thus customize according to the season and the anniversary will celebrate.
