The Aristocratic Biscuits, as clearly stated by their name, is a product originating in Serbia but it is also found in the Czech Republic and Croatia.
It is a two-colored stuffed vanilla biscuit and cocoa in a sandwich form with intermediate filling of hazelnut and cocoa, as Nutella or Merenda. With a wonderful, unique, nostalgic buttery texture, which makes them crumble and melt in your mouth and the palate to enjoy a wave of flavors and fragrances. Satisfies every taste requirement, we might have assumed from a cookie, and found here, in Noblice.

Ingredients (~25 pieces)

  • 130g butter at room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp stevia or 50g (1.8oz) powdered sugar
  • 220g (7.8oz) flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 vanilla
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • hazelnut spread Nutella
In a large bowl add the stevia or icing sugar, egg, vanilla sugar and softened butter.
Beat well together, with hand mixer, until the mixture rises and whitened.
With a spatula collect the mixture and begin to add the flour, mixed with baking powder and sifted gradually and little by little. When difficult to go with the spatula use your hands and knead the dough gently.
Divide the dough into two equal parts and in one add the cocoa. Knead the mixture well in order to fully integrate the cocoa and to have a chocolate mixture.
On lightly floured surface roll out the dough into a sheet 3-4mm (0.12-0.16in) and cut with cupe pate daisy. We use vanilla lid to the center. Place them onto greaseproof paper and bake in a preheated oven at 190℃ (374℉, Gas:5) for 10′-12′.
Allow to cool. Put half nutella spoon onto each chocolate biscuit and touch over it a white biscuit, pressing slightly.
