Easy Cheese Pie
Cheese Pie is prepared very easily and quickly without phyllo, and despite its simplicity, it is delicious and hearty. The sesame seeds sprinkled on its surface, and baked in the oven, is what give an extra delicious touch.

Easy Cheese Pie

Ingredients (10 servings)

  • 500g (1.1lbs) feta cheese
  • 4 eggs, large
  • 400g (14.1oz) Greek yogurt, strained
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 150g (5.3oz) butter, room temperature
  • 200g (7.1oz) gryere cheese, grated
  • 150g (5.3oz) flour self raising
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 40g (1.4oz) breadcrumbs, grated
  • 60g (2.1oz) sesame
Grease with some butter a round, nonstick cookware for the oven Ø32cm (Ø1ft) and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Leave it aside to wait.
In a large bowl, crush by hand, the feta cheese in large enough pieces.
Add the eggs and yogurt. Sprinkle with paprika.
Mix, adding the softened butter.
Continue adding the grated cheese and flour with the baking powder.
Pour the mixture of feta cheese-yogurt to the prepared pan and with a spatula flatten the surface of the cheese pie.
Sprinkle with a lot of sesame across the surface of the cheese pie to go everywhere.
Bake in preheated oven at 170°C (338°F, Gas 3.5) for ~45′-50′.

The pie was a little thin because I divided the amount of the mixture into two pans.
