Broccoli and cauliflower are two of the healthiest vegetables of the time and often "fight" for what will … star in our dishes. The part of the vegetable eaten is the same flower, which is consumed in various ways: pickle, raw, boiled, steamed etc. Raw, it has the highest nutritional value and in our home most of the times we eat raw as a fruit at our dinner.
Broccoli is the cauliflower variant, with green or violet flower heads and green leaves. In today's tart it was joined with many ingredients, such as sausage, boiled rice, carrots, pepper and with binder eggs, cream and cheeses. He baked and got a great crunching crust thanks to cheese and basically rice.

Ingredients (8 pieces)

  • 300g (10.6oz) broccoli
  • 60g (2.1oz) white rice, boiled
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 colored pepper, finely chopped
  • 140g (4.9oz) leek sausage, the flesh
  • 250g (8.8oz) sour cream or evaporated milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200g (7.1oz) grated cheese
  • salt & pepper
Boil the rice until it is tender, drain it and leave it aside.
Wash and broil broccoli. Boil it for a while until it is slightly softened. Strain it and leave it aside until we need it.
In a large pan, pour the oil. When it is warm, add the onion and the garlic chopped.
Stir from time to time to sauté. Then, after a few minutes, add the carrots and peppers to the cheeses. Stir.
Finally add the crumb of the sausage finely chopped. Mix and cook for a while. Season with salt and peel the pan out of the fire.
Put on a bowl of sour cream, eggs, cooked rice and cheese. Keep a little overhead to sprinkle it over. Stir with a fork.
Spread oil at the base of a 18x28cm (7.1x11in) oven pan with oil and pour the cookies of the cooked broccoli side by side in one layer.
From the top, empty the contents of the pan and spread over it to go everywhere and cover the broccoli.
Above the frying pan, pour the egg mixture to go everywhere and cover it. Sprinkle with the little cheese you held aside.
Bake in a preheated oven on the lower grill, on the resistors, at 190℃ (374℉, Gas Mark:5) for ~35'-40' or until the surface is colored.
