Strawberry Oreo Dessert

Refrigerator dessert, with biscuits, whipped cream and covered with red, clear gel, in which we put strawberries, sliced​​.
The strawberry season is in full swing and we as a genuine fans of this very beautiful, scarlet colored, delicious fruit are trying to enjoy it with a variety of cooking methods.
If you like the combination of ingredients, try it. Be warned that is easily and quickly consumed, since it leaves a refreshing and light feeling.

Ingredients (12 servings)

  • 2×150 gr/ 2×5.3 oz cookies *OREO
  • 50 gr/ 1.8 oz melted butter or soft margarine
  • 1 shot of brandy or liquer
  • 150 gr/5.3 oz cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 500 ml/ 1 pint floz sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 bags of jelly, strawbery or cherry flavored
  • 500 gr/ 1.1 lbs strawberries
Start making the jelly, that will be into the refrigerator to freeze.
In large bowl add hot water and dissolve two sachets of gel powder as directed on the box.
Refrigerate for 30'-45' until it starts to freeze.
In another bowl, break the biscuits with your hands, into smaller pieces.
The sprinkle with melted butter and liqueur. Mix well and spread over the surface of a base pan ~23×33 cm/ 9.1"×13". Push using the back of a spoon.
Put in the refrigerator for 10' and proceed to prepare the second layer of this cream.
In a large bowl, beat for a little the cream cheese with two tablespoons of milk and then add the sour cream and powdered sugar.
Beat well until you have a nice thick and fluffy whipped cream.
Take the pan with the biscuits from the refrigerator and spread the whipped cream mixture.
With a spatula spread evenly over the biscuit base.
Put it back in the refrigerator for 15' tighten up and proceed to prepare the strawberries.
Clean the strawberries by removing the stalks, wash and cut into slices.
Collect the ingredients, you have already prepared, on the bench.
Take the bowl with the jelly from the fridge, which should have begun to tighten. If not ready yet, leave for a while.
With a spoon stir the slightly frozen gel and add strawberries.
Mix.
Pour the jelly mixture over the surface, to cover the whipped cream.
Spread with a spoon…
…as evenly as possible.
Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or ideally overnight.
*You can use any other cookies of your choice. But you may need more butter to wet.
